Why is the view of the Milky Way generally more spectacular during the summer in the Northern Hemisphere?

The night sky looks directly toward the dense galactic core

During the summer months in the Northern Hemisphere, the night sky is oriented toward the center of the Milky Way. This direction contains a significantly higher density of stars and interstellar gas compared to the outer edges. Because we are looking into this high-density core, the band appears much wider and brighter, providing a more prominent and spectacular view than during winter months, when the view is directed toward the thinner, dimmer outer edges of the galactic disk.
